On 13th November 2019 we were immensely pleased to make our second grant, to the community group Serious About St Neots.
Serious About St Neots aims to be “the catalyst for rekindling community pride and participation.” The Community Interest Company’s ambition is to make a real difference to the lives and wellbeing of the community, to create an identity and help build a positive future for those that live, work and play in the town.
Mark Hansard, Gary Lee and Clair Slade’s long-term plan is to become the platform for everything that is influencing the creative scene in and around St Neots, bringing together all creative thinkers and doers, to inform, educate and spark positive change.
The first phase of their development is the creation of audio and visual podcasts, featuring individuals and groups with a story to tell or highlighting a cause through conversation.
Serious About St Neots asked The Kingfisher Funerals Community Charity for a grant towards the purchase of a camera to enable the podcasts to be made, and we were delighted to provide this.
